Join us for an informal Q&A with actress Sarah-Jane Potts (Kinky Boots, Prancer), actor Joseph Millson (The Last Kingdom, Casino Royale) and Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker Andrew Smith as they discuss the challenges and rewards of making a feature film on a low budget.
Last year Sarah-Jane spoke in one of the sessions about her approach and motivation to make her own films. This year, Sarah Jane and Joe sit down together with Emmy winning documentary filmmaker Andrew Smith and Andy Jackson, a BAFTA nominated Cinematographer (Bio: B I O & CV | ANDY JACKSON) to talk about how you can grow your own work. They do this by referencing their film Care, shown at the festival and their new project Signs of Life. Should you wish to support the film and subscribe to updates, the kickstarter can be found here: SIGNS OF LIFE by Joseph Millson — Kickstarter.
After the success of their first film 'The Magician' (screened last year) Sarah-Jane Potts & Joseph Millson are currently working on their new film Signs of Life. They have also recently finished 'Care', an inspiring film about a divorced, resentful man who as a carer meets an extraordinary individual. Leighton Buzzard Film Festival will be screening 'Care' this year, tickets can be bought here: https://www.lbfilmfest.com/event-details/opening-night-screening-at-the-ship-inn.
