Join the LB Film Fest team and create engaging content for social media to create buzz about the festival! We’re looking for an individual to help build the reach and online engagement of the LB Film Fest social pages.
LB Film Fest is a grassroots film festival that premiered in September 2022. It was born from a passion to showcase local filmmakers' work in the communities where they live. The festival had three film screenings, three workshops, and a 48hr film screening. We hosted a fundraiser event in October and would like to host more interim events.
This role is about creating engaging content for our social media platforms – we currently use Facebook and Instagram. From photos to video, we want to make original content that celebrates the local filmmakers in our area, from interviewing people in the industry to creating short trailers about festival events. There’s scope to be creative with this role. You’ll be responsible for increasing our reach on social media and growing our audience.
You’ll be working with the rest of the LB Film Fest team: festival lead organisers, content creation team, and finance manager. As we are all volunteers, we want someone that will help make the organising of the festival easier and an even bigger success. We hope you’ll bring passion above everything else.
We’re looking for someone that is:
· Able to make video content suitable for social media;
· Confident using Instagram and Facebook platforms;
· Confident in reaching out to people to create content;
· Be reliable and effective at communicating with the team;
